She’s known as Lesbian Jesus, or at least once was. But Hayley Kiyoko as a pop star is so much more than that. We caught her delivering a dance-heavy tour in support of her 2022 sophomore releaseĀ Panorama, at Seattle’s storied Neptune Theatre, amongst a crowd of, yes, lesbians. But also queers of all sorts. A safe space for everyone, one that celebrated the fact that Kiyoko is living out her dreams of having throngs of girls screaming at her from a sold out crowd.

Not only did her show cover the new material and heavy hitting bops from her 2018 debut, Expectations, like “What I Need” and “Curious”, but also a new, unreleased track “Green Light”. She had female dancers in chaps, sang an acoustic “Pretty Girl” to a fan from the crowd, and connected with the audience throughout, making the whole thing feel up close and personal.
