Eight-time GRAMMY Award-winning musician, songwriter, and producer Finneas recently released his newest album “Optimist” with 13 brilliant new tracks. On Thursday night, November 4th 2021, Finneas will bring his “Optimistic Tour” to Seattle’s Showbox SoDo. Opening the show will be Marinelli to get the night started.

Many will already know Finneas as the producer, song-writer, guitarists, for his sister Billie Ellish. This album and tour showcase Finneas own music written and produced entirely by himself. After returning home to L.A in March 2020 as the world shut down Finneas began writing these songs which would become his debut album (all while also working with Billie Ellish on her newest album too). Finneas solo music is a departure musically from his sister’s music, but Finneas can’t do no wrong when writing and producing his own music. Once you listen to Finneas new album you’ll no be able to stop.

Finneas who is a self-describe optimist wrote this album based on his optimist outlook on like and his observant view of people and their unique idiosyncrasies. “I’ve always been interested in people and their idiosyncrasies,” he admits. “It’s hard for me not to focus on them or notice. At the end of the day, I’m just observant.”

The opening track and first single “A Concert Six Months From Now,” sees acoustic guitar creaking underneath candid recollections of purchasing tickets to a show for an old flame before a gust of distortion hits like a tidal wave. You can see how optimist he was about going to a concert with his current girlfriend to a show 6 months time turned out differently. FINNEAS reveals “My hope is some kid somewhere puts this on and maybe thinks, ‘This is exactly how I’m feeling right now.’ That’s what I do with my favorite music. Personally, the more I learn, the less I know. So, I just feel really lucky right now…and optimistic about the future.”
