You’ve invested in professional-quality headphones, you always know the hottest live show, and you consider yourself an expert at compiling the perfect playlist. So where does your music-loving life go from here? Well, as with most industries these days, the new frontier of virtual reality is where it’s at. From Bill Gates to Barack Obama, this new technology is being explored across the board for all its potential, and certainly, it’s not a far stretch for musicians to want in on the game.

And that’s where Aloud comes in. The Boston-based four-piece, fronted by songwriting team Henry Beguiristain and Jen de la Osa, has stepped into the ring, with an IndieGoGo campaign for “Falling Out of Love: The Virtual Reality Experience.” Partnering with Director, writer and VR creator Skye Von, and producers Tanya Leal Soto and Charles Newman, the project has already been selected for 2016’s IFP/Indiegogo Fellowship at the NY Media Center to break the fourth wall and create a truly immersive musical experience for their track “Falling Out of Love.”

Now here’s where you come in: they’re hitting the road with a series of live events to fulfill their fundraising campaign, which means you get to be first in line to see where catchy indie rock meets the future.

Upcoming events include a stop in San Francisco on May 17, and May 19 & 21 in Los Angeles. For more on the live events and this innovative idea, check them out here.
