Preview of Ed Kowalczyk: ‘Throwing Copper’ Unplugged – 20th Anniversary Tour
The Triple Door, Seattle, WA
03.27.15

Ed Kowalczyk, former lead man for the legendary band Live, will be passing through the Triple Door on Friday night, giving fans a rare opportunity to revisit Throwing Copper in an acoustic setting. Since breaking from the band in 2009, Kowalczyk has released three solo albums, adding not only to his lengthy career, but also welcoming a new daughter and son. He has remained politically active, championing for causes in partnership with World Vision USA. This acoustic tour gives homage to Live’s second album, Throwing Copper, released on April 19, 1994. Singles from this album include smashes “I Alone,” “Selling the Drama,” “Lighting Crashes,” “All Over You,” and “White, Discussion.” A few surprises are also in the mix. Wink, wink.

If Kowalczyk’s eerie voice hasn’t already started creeping into your head, fear not – all scary ponytails have since been shaved. This night promises to be nothing short of amazing for all self-respecting audiophiles. One of my favorite venues, the Triple Door still has tickets (March 27th and March 28th) available starting at $35. Seattle Music News will be expecting you!
