Thick on the sunblock and coasting the musical seas, Kygo brought a beachy vibe to Seattle on Sunday with another port ‘o call on his Endless Summer Tour. Hailing from Norway, producer and remix connoisseur Kyrre Gørvell-Dahll, better known by his stage name Kygo, has recently exploded onto the EDM scene. Amid frantic anticipation, he finally showcased his talents here to a sold-out crowd at the Neptune Theatre following a sold-out night at The Crocodile.

A backdrop of palm trees and warm, inviting water begged the question, “Are you ready to begin our journey?” The crowd became immersed in tropical melodies. A castoff somewhere in paradise, Kygo dished out hand waves throughout his performance and casually sang along to all of the tracks. Beats headphones topped off a ceaseless smile. His set was solid, as the room moved about in matching tempo in a mellow sea of glowing lights.

His biggest hit, “I See Fire,” received the greatest response of the night and was the one backdrop exception to the beach theme, where Kygo’s emblem was engulfed in flames.  Other noteworthy remixes included that of Passenger’s “Let Her Go”, Blackstreet vs Macklemore’s “No Diggity vs Thrift Shop”, and Marvin Gaye’s “Sexual Healing”. Kygo’s sunny spirit burned through the evening, as the tide waned on a ship set to anchor. Turn on the radio and get used to the dockside view.
