Florida Georgia Line w/ Nelly
White River Amphitheater, Auburn, WA

Florida Georgia Line‘s ability to bridge the gap from rock to hip-hop while staying true to their country roots makes their tour one of the most unique shows on the circuit, bringing different sets of fans together to celebrate music. This world can be a better place when musicians from different backgrounds and genres can tour together in harmony like Florida Georgia Line and Nelly.

The show started with bright lights shining down on the stage and the crowd as frontmen Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelly walked out on stage to thousands of screaming fans. Opening with “Anything Goes,” the two men ran around the whole stage as flames shot behind them. With three massively successful albums, the set list played all their hits, spanning the last five years.

A few songs into the evening, Hubbard noticed a fan in the front row singing along to all the songs and invited him out on stage. Hubbard and Kelly presented the young man with a black acoustic guitar Hubbard had played with earlier in the set. Even though the young man admitted to not knowing how to play guitar, this generous gift might be just the inspiration to kick off his own musical journey.

FGL enjoyed many close interactions with their fans all night. They gave high fives to fans in the front row and walked the catwalk, getting as close to as many fans as possible that reached out over the stage to get even closer.

The evening ended with both FGL and Nelly returning to the stage to finish the night together, performing Nelly’s hit song “Hot in Herre.” They finished with FLG’s biggest hit and the Nelly remix “Cruise,” the song that started the musical friendship. It was the perfect song to end a spectacular night of country and hip-hop.
