“To party is to exist, and to exist is to party. So, if you came with that mindset that is exactly what you are going to get!”

The “Party God” himself, Andrew W.K. (Wilkes-Krier), brought his group (the first full-band live outing in nearly 5 years) to Neumos for “The Party Never Dies Tour,” a rousing night of fun! The 29-date run is barely a week in when they hit Seattle, and Neumos was nearly sold-out, overpacked, and ready to go.

The crowd surged forward as the band hit the stage and broke into “Music Is Worth Living For.” They then they exploded as W.K. took the stage in his now trademark dirty white t-shirt and jeans. If by chance you had forgotten his famous imagery, all you had to do was look at the stage’s backdrop for a graphic reminder of his bloody-nosed photo.

The energy throughout the venue was infectious. Once the moshing began, it never really slowed down, with unrelenting stage divers flying left and right. “Take it Off” and “Ready to Die” kicked this high energy into gear while the band and crowd fed off of the positivity exuding from the each other.

“Who wants a Slice?” With that statement, W.K. donned his famous ESP custom pizza guitar and shredded through a solo, everyone eating up each tasty lick and screaming in adoration. Songs like “Party Till You Puke,” “We Want Fun,” and “Tear It Up” brought out the best of the band.

As W.K. described it, “I’m going for the sound of pure, unadulterated power; every emotion, every thought, every experience, every sensation, every fear, every joy, every clarity, every confusion, every up, every down…all extruded and concentrated into one thick syrup of super life-force feeling, and then psychically amplified by the celebratory spirit of glorious partying.”

It is no wonder that this multi-instrumentalist entertainer has had such a diverse career since bursting onto the scene in 2001. From his seven album releases and motivational speaking engagements to producing his own radio show and music for other artists, W.K. is a man on a mission to spread positivity.

“This is my sixth or seventh time I have partied here at Neumos, and our new drummer, Clark, this is his hometown. One thing is for sure: you will remember tonight!” he said, as they broke into the song of the same name!

Party chants were deafening as everyone screamed “one more song” after the band left the stage after “I Get Wet.” It was even more insane when they returned for the last songs of the night. It all built up to a hilarious countdown led by W.K. Starting at 100 and counting down to 0, the buildup was explosive as the final song was, of course, “Party Hard.”

An incredible night where fun was the theme, Andrew W.K. delivered 1000 times over. Get out to see this tour on a date near you. It is a night you will remember!
