The Crocodile, Seattle, WA

Sometimes you just need to let your hair down, and this stellar night of rock will be the perfect way to do it. Headlining at The Crocodile will be Seattle’s premier 80s hair band cover act, Iron Dragon. You can expect classic tracks from the likes of Def Leppard, Whitesnake, and Motley Crue, all perfect for tossing those long locks as hard as you want. But don’t overlook support from LocoMotive and Asterhouse, both young local bands doing killer original work and earning raving fans along the way.

For LocoMotive‘s part, the Snoqualmie, WA trio is hell bent on making you rock. These teens are serious about mixing up their influences and talent into an energetic smorgasbord of head-bang-worthy tracks. Vocalist/bassist Bella Mariani is the epitome of a power rocker on stage, while guitarist Ryan Horn seems to be on an endless, epic solo run, jumping and diving on the regular. Drummer Ethan Horn, the youngest of the group, is nothing to scoff at, as he kills it on the kit.

Then get a hit of Asterhouse, another local trio, who will surely take you on an irresistible trip. Their mix of pop, punk and a heavy helping of classic rock is confident and catchy. John Thornburg (vocals/drums) is a throwback to 60s rock stars, emoting his way through every song, whether it’s a vocal wail or tearing up the kit. His brother Russ Thornburg has innate guitar talent, and watching his joyful leaps and hair tossing is always fun. Bassist Julio Posada holds it down, all the while, with a quiet confidence that keeps their massive rhythms deep in the groove.

So break out of your day to day, let your hair down, and get yourself to The Crocodile for a show that promises plenty of reason to rock on.
