2016 has been quite the year for Parker Millsap. The 23-year old Oklahoman singer-songwriter has spanned the emotional spectrum of having his tour van stolen, playing in a festival that includes Willie Nelson, having one of his songs recognized as one of NPR’s best of 2016, and performing on Conan.  Suffice to say, this young man is gaining some attention.

With the release of his third studio album, The Very Last Day, this spring, Millsap is out on the road again. The 11-song thread of Americana evokes his Pentecostal upbringing, an inquisitive mind, and a voice that is a hybrid of Delta blues, folk, and country. Millsap has become known for his character-driven lyrical narratives, reveling in human empathy.

Millsap may have a baby face, but his rough-hewn voice definitely tells some older stories. He’ll be spinning those yarns at the Tractor Tavern on July 20th with opener Travis Linville.
