Preview: Santigold – Little Big Show #15
Neptune Theatre, Seattle, WA

Billed as “the little show with big effect,” Starbucks, KEXP, and Seattle Theatre Group (STG) are bringing the 15th Little Big Show to the stage, this time with idiosyncratic pop artist Santigold the star of the show.

With the release of third album 99¢ in February, Santigold – nee Santi White – has taken a slightly sunnier turn. In the face of a highly commercialized, self-obsessed, and overly uniform culture, Santigold stands as a constant reminder of left-field. Bending genres at her will, no matter how satirical Santigold gets, she keeps us dancing with syncopated beats and eclectic influences, and drops in the occasional slow-grind track that feels like an insider’s secret. While there are highs and lows to Santigold’s output, and career, she has managed to maintain an indie spirit and individuality that keep her fans begging for more and the media clamoring for every new track.

Her live show is also not to be missed, promising irony, interest, and crowd favorites. Catch it April 9th at the Neptune Theatre with special guests Leikeli47, DoNormaal.

100% of ticket sales will be donated to EMP Museum to support programs like Sound Off!, the Northwest’s premier 21 and under battle of the bands.
