Creeping saw synths and pitched vocals. The gradual build up ushered by the occasional toms leading to the pinnacle, “So Cute”. Spoken like a fairy, the track is a collaboration between Slow Magic and Giraffage. Sharing the same name, their So Cute! collaborative tour stops into Seattle’s Showbox theatre on December 11.
Both artists belong to a category of music best described as lucid electronica, heavily influenced by R&B. While Slow Magic’s expertly-crafted rhythms and climaxing layers play between joyous electronica and intimate dreams, Giraffage’s EDM production and pop remixes present dynamic, creatively mixed samples and noises that are surprisingly deep for their love of candy-coated 90s R&B.
Slow Magic’s amazing rythmic abilities and Giraffage’s creative choices will provide a well deserved live set for their fans. Joining them is Lindsay Lowend, a producer from the same music scene who brings extra arsenal to the lineup.
