Wild Belle w/Django Django
Showbox, Seattle, WA
10.20.15

Chicago-based sibling duo Elliot and Natalie Bergman brought their band Wild Belle to the Showbox on Tuesday night, opening for Django Django. Borne of happenstance and incidental collaborations, this brother and sister project has now seen moderate success, with a second full length album, Dreamland, right around the corner. Their psychedelic pop and funky reggae sounds have been lent to movies and television shows, now on their fourth year signed with Columbia Records. Growing up in a musical household, their eclectic background produces an abundance of fun, ska-esque sounds. The Wild Belle set at the Showbox was on point, hitting high notes on vocals and horns alike. The crowd shimmied under the radiant lights, highlighting Natalie’s big smile as the house sang along. Singles like “Keep You,” “It’s Too Late,” and “Shine” can still be enjoyed if you missed this show. Be sure to check out their remaining dates, and stay tuned for their second album getting ready to drop.
