Billed as the “Boys of Zummer” tour, the seemingly mixed set of rapper Wiz Khalifa and pop-punk rockers Fall Out Boy is coming to Auburn’s White River Amphitheater and you should expect some heat. Riding high on the success of his number one single “See You Again” (with Charlie Puth) Wiz Khalifa is out to take some names. The Paul Walker tribute track has made Khalifia a household name where he might not have been before, and his rumored sixth album Rolling Papers 2: The Weed Album carries with its name the promise of his trademark themes. While weed, women, and partying certainly aren’t anything new to the hip-hop scene, Khalifa has been known to experiment with genres, mixing and matching into his own wacky brand of hits. Be on the lookout for a nice mix of new and old from his live set.

By now it’s legit to call pop-punk rockers Fall Out Boy “veterans” right? Their sixth LP – this year’s American Beauty/American Psycho – debuted at number one, so suffice it to say the fans haven’t lost interest. While the album itself might embrace samples and beats in a more radio-friendly way than before, their live shows still tend to rely heavily on FOB’s punk roots, throwing down gauntlets of frenetic energy. What to expect? Young fans, banging percussion, tearing guitars, and a much-talked-about acoustic jam mid-set. The band typically brings the pyrotechnics and the party with them, and White River is the perfect setting for a summer night full of fun. Openers DJ Drama & Hoodie Allen will make it a well rounded lineup.
