KMFDM sucks! KMFDM sucks! KMFDM sucks! KMFDM sucks! KMFDM sucks! KMFDM sucks! KMFDM sucks! KMFDM sucks! KMFDM sucks! KMFDM sucks! KMFDM sucks! KMFDM sucks!

Declaring that a band creates a vacuum that you’ve spent your hard-earned cash to see is definitely not the beginning of most shows…

Folks from all walks of life showed up at the Market Showbox to catch the heavy sound of Kein Mehrheit Für Die Mitleid; some fans in KMFDM shirts, black lipstick, and platform boots – and others in khaki shorts and a t-shirt. A widespread fan base such as this might come from having formed 31 years ago, or perhaps it is the broad appeal of industrial music. Regardless, chanting warmed up the crowd incredibly effectively, with a spirited opening performance and some passionate yelling between acts, proclaiming that KMFDM did in fact suck. Sascha Konietzko took the stage with authority, and soon was joined by his wife Lucia Cifarelli, as KMFDM hit the audience full force. From khaki pants to black lipstick, everyone in the crowd shared one of the best pits I’ve joined in years.
