Kids in the Hall
Paramount Theatre, Seattle, WA
05.29.15

If one were lucky enough to see The Kids in the Hall perform at the Paramount on Friday, one could surely agree to having witnessed some of the best sketch comedy life has to offer. The five-man Canadian troupe, consisting of legendary side splitters David Foley, Bruce McCulloch, Kevin McDonald, Mark McKinney, and Scott Thompson, are a witty force to be reckoned with. Their writing and acting is not only hilarious, rebellious, and gender-bending – it is also a fantastically truthful, agonizing commentary on society. The well runs deep, kids… grab a glass!

The list of sketches, in order, are compiled below. It would be insanity to go into depth with each one, attempting to explain the intricacies, nuances, and hilarious fuck-ups that inevitably follow a live show. The Kids in the Hall weaved a priceless, naughty mess of death, sex, birth, frustration, hope, and of course, salty ham. Lasting nigh on two hours, expectations were met and exceeded, and of course, heads were crushed.
