OK Go
Neptune Theatre, Seattle, WA

OK Go visited the Neptune on Tuesday night, casting their own glow on what it means to truly entertain. A band that takes their visual artistry just as seriously as their music, OK Go began their show masked behind a curtain. Projected on the curtain was a glitched, sketchy portrait of their various heads while, behind it, they began to throw down, OK Go style.

The curtain dropped after the first few songs, and the band emerged with a genuine intent to interact with the audience. Singer Damian Kulash polled the audience for questions, and was stumped when a lady asked how they had divvied up the primary color scheme, given that there are four members. The moments of connection with the audience were refreshing and intriguing, to say the least. OK Go made a serious investment in a confetti cannon, as it rained down upon everything in sight, making for another great visual accompaniment to an already incredible show, full of driving chords and soaring vocals. Their tour continues all across everywhere through the beginning of May, so be sure to check them out if you have the opportunity. You’re in for more than just a pop rock show.
